109 - The Game is Afoot! Episode One: The Phantom Chippendale

This month we bring you episode one of Sketch MacQuinor's versatile series The Game is Afoot!: The Phantom Chippendale. It was performed live at the Academy Theatre's STEAM Fest, April 9, 2011. Versatile because it started as a puppet show, changed cast, then morphed into an audio drama, and may transform back at a moment's notice. Or less! You can also get a visual on this performance at our YouTube site so you can see what everybody is laughing about 10 or 11 minutes into the piece. (That is to say, about two minutes into part two below.)

107 - Whatever happened to be lying around...

This month we bring you a collection of random material. A hodgepodge of bridging, commercials, random comments, and other bits of flair that give each of our shows its personality but don't make much sense out of context. Some of them are fake, some of them are ad libbed, but the ones about us needing help are totally true.

ARTC is growing. we're still an all-volunteer organization, but our message of quality audio drama is spreading and we want you to be a part of it. we welcome virtually everybody, but we're particularly looking for the following:
  • Musicians interested in learning how to score for audio drama!
  • Grantwriters!
  • Marketing assistance!
  • Producers and Directors!
  • Painters and Illustrators (for posters and product covers)!
  • Audio engineers for live performance, studio mixing, and archiving!
  • and, of course, we love writers and actors! The more the merrier!
So if you're looking for a unique outlet for your creative energies in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, drop us a line at volunteer AT artc DOT org. Many of these roles don't require you to be in the Atlanta area thanks to the magic of the internet, so no matter where you live you can help create Adventures in Sound!

Oh, okay. Here's what's really included here:
  • "Three Bad Writers" by Kelley S. Ceccato
  • "Brotherhood of Damn Sassy Mutants" promo by Sketch MacQuinor
  • "900-BAN" by Topo deMorning
  • "Fernbank Presents" by Ollie Oxenfree
  • "The Original Virtual Reality" by Rip deBandage
  • "Portable Time Machine" by Hans O'Plenty
  • "Bubble Burpee" by Armand "Arms" Akimbo

104 - Blue Hanukchristmas Carol

This month we bring you a piece we thought we had brought you a while back, but after going through the archives we discovered we'd overlooked it!  This piece is so good that we couldn't just let that slide, so here it is: Blue Hanukchristmas Carol by Sketch MacQuinor.

52 - Superheroes...?

This week we delve into the realm of ...superheroes? Well, it greatly depends on how you define the term, really. We've brought you installments from these great series before, but we like them (and we hope you do, too!) so here's some more!

First up, The Brotherhood of Damn Sassy Mutants in Episode One - "Flame Out", by "Sketch" MacQuinor.

Then, hold onto your dry-erase markers, as we bring you Mildly Exciting Tales of Astonishment - "A Consultation with Eeeeevil" by Jonathan Strickland.

Both of these were performed live at Sci-Fi Summer 2005.

21 - Saturday Morning Kid Shows

No voice intro for this show. Despite miscommunication and general behind the scenes random mayhem, this week's podcast is NOT canceled.
There *was* a voice intro recorded. It was meant to sound off the cuff and laid back and funny, but it ended up sounding half-planned and disorganized. (It was.) Anyway, the show lineup has changed several times in the last few hours.

In no particular order:

We have 2 episodes of "Rory Rammer, Space Marshall:" written by Ron N. Butler. One is "The Island of Dr. Marceau" and the other is only ever talked about in hushed, furtive whispers: "The Lost Episode."
And, an episode of "Mildly Exciting Tales of Astonishment," by Jonathan Strickland: Ps and Q's.
Also included are a pair of Public Service Announcements from the "Brotherhood of Damn Sassy Mutants," by Sketch MacQuinor.

No time for credits. If you want to know, you'll just have to ask nicely.

09 - Brotherhood of Damn Sassy Mutants!

Performed live at Sci Fi Summer 2005, so controversial that it had its own late night time slot, and so funny that we just couldn't keep it to ourselves.
